  • Kate Browne of Clare Animal Welfare returning a rescued swan, which had earlier collided with an ESB pylon in Ennis at the weekend, to the water at Ballyalla. The swan was in a state of shock with some injuries but recovered following a few days TLC at a local farm. One third of swans are killed or injured by pylons each year and CAW are recommending the use of Game Guards near rivers and lakes for low flying birds. ..Clare Animal Welfare can be contacted on 087-7954351 or visit their website at caw@ennis.ie to help re-home animals.
