  • Whe na traditioj-conscious site engineer halted a giant bulldozer and ordered its driver to spare an old thatched house he was about to demolish to make way for a new airport runway at Shannon, he little thought that his actions would lead to the creation of a national folk park and tourist attraction that would charm visitors from all over the world.<br />
This is the original farmhouse that was taken from Shannon to form the nucleus of the now famous folk park at Bunratty.
