  • At the launch of the 'History of Killimer GAA' book were surviving members of the Killimer team of 1943 - Ambrose O'Connell and Murt Cunningham, with Patrick Hassett, who accepted a presentation on behalf of his brother-in-law, Michael O'Leary, who was also on the 1943 team and lived (in 1999) in America - May 21, 1999.
