  • Rathclooney farmer Mike Daffy, went to great heights in 1995 and 1997 to erect stone monuments on his farm at the top of Rathclooney Hill, Quin, to mark the great successes of the Clare hurlers at the time. Our picture shows former Clare manager and two time All-Ireland winner, Ger Loughnane on the site with current Clare hurlers from the parish of Clooney-Quin Peter Duggan  and Fergal Lynch.   • The teacher and the student.... Ger Loughnane greets Anthony Daly at St Aidan's National School in Shannon as several former inter-county players embarked on school visitations in the lead up to the June hosting of Féile Na nGael in Clare. Loughnane, principal at St. Aidan's, was manager when Anthony Daly, now the current Dublin boss, captained Clare to All-Ireland titles in 1995 and 1997.
