Fifteen year old Fionn Naughton, a third year student at Kilrush Community School, who started taekwondo at 7 years old and has won numerous Irish titles over the years, having received his first degree black belt June 2022. He travelled to Slovenia in June 2022 with team Ireland for the Taekwondo World Cup, winning a silver medal in -50kg pre junior sparring.
He travelled again with team Ireland in April 2023 to Romania for the European championships , coming home with a bronze medal this time in the junior -50kg sparring.
Then, again in September 2023, he took part in the world championships in Finland , coming home with a silver medal in the -50kg pre junior sparring.
